Recognizing the need for climate action at the sub-national level, local political involvement became a focus beginning in 2021. As a local elected official, the following actions were taken:
Served as a member of the local Climate Smart Communities Task Force
Advocated for local sustainable policies
Drafted legislation to enhance local walkability
Initiated discussions to remove organic waste from solid waste stream
